A wonderful afternoon at Polesden Lacy, National Trust property. They run a summer series of Sunday jazz afternoons, "Lazy Jazz". Picnic, music, bubbles, friends and sunshine. Wonderful. Friends brought their niece and nephew who were absolutely brilliant company for Katie. Dom said "I thought J was the most energetic child I had ever met... until I met Katie". Such a relaxed and happy afternoon. Katie, my cousin and I went for a walk round the formal gardens together. She had a glorious time looking at the rose garden and taking photographs. She loved doing some of the children's challenges in the grounds, including retrieving some parcels from the stone bath full of ball pool balls (see extra!). She'd been charging and cartwheeling and skipping and twirling. Until 5.55 when she decided quite suddenly that she needed monkey and was definitely done.
