First Glimpse

Back in New York again, during what is probably the craziest week of the year. It's the opening of the UN Gen. Assembly, combined with the Clinton Global Initiative conference and Climate Week NYC. It's the week when most of the city will find itself behind barricades as visiting heads of state and their motorcades dominate the streets of midtown.

Driving into the city from the airport, my first view of the Manhattan skyline never fails to thrill me. This time, however, there was so much traffic we took a different route and came in much further north. Much less spectacular, particularly when viewed out of the gritty window of a taxi.
