Just like the old days

When I was in my teens I would help out this time of year getting the hay in, it's one of the hardest jobs I've ever done, many late nights and blisters.
It's a lot easier these days with the machines they use.

When the dogs were younger and we still had Theo, Daisy and Tiger Lily plus Kanga and Roo we would often walk past these giant bales,

At first Daisy refused to walk past them but eventually with a bit of coaxing she did it.

We use to hide from the dogs behind the hay and they would race to find us, oh it was great fun.

Sadly Kanga is the only one now as Roo is unable to walk long distances let alone run.

His health worries me every day now.


He looks tired now, I just wish I could turn the clock back a few years.
