Triumphal Arch

A visit to Saltram  ( NT ) for a walk around the Estate. The arch was built in 1783 for a Royal Visit and has become a "Folly" over the years due to non use, particularly as at some stage a wall was built behind it. It is situated close to the River Plymouth and an area which presumably was a quay at the time.
