Bread maker died ...

... (no, not the one in picture!) soon after starting.  So, being home alone, had to learn how to knead and make bread at a run.  Excellent first rise and then the supervisor arrived home and brought confidence to the knock back, second rise and choice of tins.  Good loaf: no duff.
