Smoke & more smoke

Day after today we have been socked in, not by fog but smoke. I read that there are more than 100 forest fires burning in British Columbia. The smoke is covering all of Western Washington. The smoke coupled with the heat is oppressive. We come down to the river in the evening to feel a bit of the outdoors, to cool our feet in the water but we won't really be living until the smoke is gone.
