StartSmart Salary Negotiation Workshop

Pitt decided to host the WAGE Project and AAUW's $tart$mart Salary Negotiation Workshop again! It was a great event with about 40 attendees (2 guys even!), all getting ready for the career fair.

Basically, women (especially African American and Latina women) are earn about 75% of what men earn for the same job and the problem often begins in our very first job. The salary you earn there determines your raises and offers for the rest of your life! This workshop aims to make attendees aware of the gender wage gap and teach women how to negotiate a fair salary. I think the attendees enjoyed it, learned a lot, and will get the pay they deserve! :)
