Civil War came To Barnstaple

This week has been a wonderful week of activity of fun things to learn about the Civil War in Barnstaple ending today with a re-enactment of the Civil War.  It was huge fun with several cannon shots being fired (causing some distress among some youngsters and waking up the rest of us)!   It was nigh on impossible to get any shot with clean backgrounds - hence the b&w - but it was a grand days entertainment with a falconry display as well as face painting and bouncy castle for the kids.
