Went to run a keening workshop up at Blackford Quarry.  There was still a bit of Brambling to be done afterwards but the locals had foraged the sloes despite the fact you're supposed to wait until after the first frost.  Must have shoved myself a bit too deep in to the greenery to get at tasty treats on the way home as found these attached to my bag.
