Local Landscape

Busy with farming chores this morning....fencing, cattle, hay....getting organised before we head away next week.
I did get most of the edges cut this afternoon, then some light rain came in so I packed up.  
My blip today is a man made irrigation reservoir - its huge and took months and months with large earth moving machinery to dig out, then equally as long to fill with water.  It is situated beside the Pareora River and I guess the farmer has resource consent to take water when available.  This would not even be half of it. Its not very attractive, the reflections and the sky what appealed.
Bit chilly tonight after our 18 deg yesterday.  Fire is cranking, but the rain didn't come to much fortunately.
