       Nearly twenty four hours of scattered storms. I managed to walk in the dry at about mid-day. I didn't have a camera to snap the place where the road became dry, a phenomenon quite common here.

       To remain silent about the events in Charlottesville is to be complicit. I thought I was watching protests in Venezuela. And as for the mealy mouthed non-statement from  . . . what to call him? 45?  . . .

       And my day started out so well listening to Sibelius' 5th symphony, the walk and then a movie The Kite Runner, I'm sorry I have not read the book.
