Sandown to Shanklin swimathon...

We've had a wonderful day!

The bus into Ryde then onto Sandown where we stopped for coffee. Then a walk along the promenade/on the sand to Shanklin. "Time for chips and tea", said sister #4....so we did...as in my extra.

A little more walking and we watched the swimmers reach the finishing flag at the end of the annual Sandown ro Shanklin swimming race. Brilliant!

Then up to Shanklin old village for a cup of tea before retracing our steps along the promenade to Sandown.

We caught a bus back to Ryde and eventually found somewhere to eat dinner...and we found the best last! Italian style!

Then the bus back home!

Showered to get all the sand out from.between my toes and I'm in bed. Sister #1 is asleep already. Me too very soon...
