Grasmere

No 1 son and I made a supreme effort to get up early so that we could have a full day in the lakes, taking advantage of the sunny/dry forecast. We had planned a walk which would have bagged a few Wainwrights.

However, this morning's weather was rubbish and when we arrived in Grasmere we couldn't see the tops at all as they were covered in mist and heavy rain.

We walked a circuit of the lake and went to Baldrys for coffee. After some deliberation, we Decided to come home as the weather was still grim and very wet.

Drove home and the sun came out!  Curses.
