Ovipositing.....

Now there is a word you don't see too often, but that is exactly what this female Common Blue butterfly is doing...yes she is laying eggs. I took quite a few shots of her as she flitted around the rough grass but I picked this one cos its the only one where I caught her in the act.....I just wish iit was a better picture. In the extras is a Red Admiral which I managed to catch earlier in the day.

A relaxed start followed by mowing the lawn then another relax before doing the finishing touches of my water pipe boxing in in the downstairs loo.

A lovely day though it did look like it might rain once or twice.

I think it is tonight that we need to look out for the Perseid meteor showers .
