Autumn?

Suddenly there is a nip in the air first thing in the morning and in the evening.  There are hips on the wild roses, berries on the rowans and elders, the herons are back in the bay and the nights are drawing in.  The Christmas catalogues will be dropping through the letterbox before you know it!
