Thrilled to see her in our field but we won't tell Hubs who is precious about the chickens which are hopefully safe in a Colditz like enclosure!
Out on the hill again still searching in vain for an elusive species of butterfly
and on arriving home glanced out of the window and saw Fifi Fox yawning and stretching by the far hedge. Springing to action assembling tripod, longer lens, etc as I wasn't set up at all for this eventuality; whispering to the dogs and tiptoeing across the lawn I was rewarded with her hunting for mice and voles, wandering up and down scent marking whilst just enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. I was so hoping she wouldn't go near the chicken fence and she didn't - maybe possibly having had a bang from it she has learnt a lesson. I hope so!
As she came towards the camera I could clearly see she has a really bad eye infection in both eyes which is a sad state of affairs but other than that she looked in incredibly well fed and healthy.
