Union Canal Towpath / Under Viewforth

I spent quite a few hours in June sifting though the Cigsarchives; I was researching all the shots I'd ever taken with a view to compiling Cigs The Complete Works but the project juddered to a halt when my hard drive died, and with it my carefully complied file of Cigs from Day 1...

So this week, I restarted the search, right back to March 2014 and went through all the photos shot and started sorting them - properly - into folders and separate from the day's other photos. (I have plenty malt whisky in the cupboard just now to assist with the project...)

Here's one from almost day one; mid March 2014. I checked back and in June '14 I posted this one and you can see the post on which the tag was written but already it had gone.

Ah - the ephemiral nature of the subject matter... Even for all my efforts, there must be - dozens - of tags already covered over or weathered or destroyed. Anyway; a perfect job for a rainy Friday night. I may be up for some time yet...
