Cone shells

Cone snails, cone shells or cones are common names for a large group of small to large-sized predatory sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs.


This is how Wikipedia start their description of these lovely shells. I love the patterns but the creatures are actually rather aggressive and venomous. Managed to dig out the shells from the bottom of a pile of 'stuff'.
