Unexpected………………..

………………...........………Surprise



I wasn’t expecting to find several healthy clusters of fungi as I walked out to collect our mail this afternoon. 
We have an old silver birch stump along the side of our drive which provides perfect growing conditions, but I had expected these fungi to be dormant with the cooler temperatures of winter.


Yesterday’s Hellebore / Winter Rose / Christmas Rose will have to be my flower Friday blip a day early - if only I had discovered today’s fungi yesterday!
