the torch
my babies got to hold the Olympic torch today!
We've had a really busy day. Two parties, back to back, both jumpy aroundy, running aroundy, wooshy aroundy type parties!
First was Alfie's party for his 7th birthday, at the really big soft play centre. Master Pink was so excited as we've been there once before and he loved it that time. The party was good, and loud, very loud. Miss Pink played with Aimiee and Aidan, and everyone had smiley faces and fish fingers for lunch!
Alfie's mum had made some superb party bags, and both of the mini pinks got one, they were very pleased about that.
Next was Luke's first birthday party. This was at a gymnastics club, and the party was in a small hall of gymnastics equipment. This is the first time that outside of school Master Pink had been able to use gymnastics equipment. He loved it. He also turned the whole gymnasiium into the "Total Wipeout" course!
According to Miss Pink the "obsatacle course" was good fun, especially the balancing. She had her friend Jessica to play with, and the two of them jumped, balance, and hula hooped the afternoon away.
We caught up with some of our friends that we haven't seen for a long while, and that was good. Our little ones are all growing up so much though. Even the youngest is one now!
One of the gym coaches had ran the Heybridge stretch of the olympic flame relay and he let everyone have a turn at holding the torch so that they could say that they had. He charged a £1 for each photograph, but the money will be used to send some gymnasts from their club to train in Brazil.
