St Boniface Fair
It stayed dry and sunny for the St Boniface Fair this afternoon. We went down and just caught the end of the stall holders and Town Crier walking to the Cathedral. The fair is a re-enactment of the 18th Century Burgh fair. Wooden stalls line the road in front of the Cathedral where local trades people sell their wares. As you walk around you can hear the pipes playing, people chatting, children laughing as they run around popping the enormous bubbles , Highland dancers ( including Brownies past, present and future) perform in front of a crowd in colourful tartan with legs kicking to the traditional tunes.
One stall tempted us and we bought a really sweet Decoupage box with woodland creatures in the Autumn, two little badges , an owl and a frog for me :)
I also bought two bunches of Sweet peas, now filling the Lounge with their perfume.
