Corms

Crocus corms. We are almost back to where I started.

I am considering changing the title of my journal. When I started the journal was to be mostly a record of my crocus collection, plus some other plants I grow. It has evolved to be much more than that, being by far the best Diary that I have ever kept. So perhaps a title to reflect my broader interests or my philosophy on life? What say you?

Right now I am repotting the crocuses, belatedly. Today you see a selection of corms from different species, showing that they are quite different. The 'tunic' around the corm is a good diagnostic feature, along with the shape. Here are Cc. goulimyi, cartwrightianus, niveus and speciosus. I'll try and show the flowers as they appear. (The first and last featured in October 2011)
