A Caterpillar and Dirty Little Fingers
Another lovely warm winters day....too warm actually...thongs and t'shirts are being worn around the town.
My friend came over......we flapped our gums about life art and other important things...had a bowl of soup and high tailed it to the art gallery.
The Tweed Regional Art Gallery is one of the most beautiful galleries in Australia methinks and worth a visit even if they do charge like scrub bulls for crap coffee.
It is the host for the Olive Cotton Portrait Photographic prize which is held bi annually......(I mentioned it the other day). I would of not liked to of had the job to judge the best...there were quite a few photos that took my breath away...although I must admit I did have a favorite. When I saw the calibre of work that was entered I was immediately inspired and was completely aghast at the winner...which was not a portrait or even a photograph........it has caused a lot of uproar amongst the photographic community...nay the Art community at large. Even my friend who communicated that she was open to it ...changed her mind when she saw it in the flesh so to speak.
Just a bit of gossip really.
The boy loved this caterpillar and there were a few of them...I was a bit worried about them being poisonous ...he did get a bit itchy after a while and put them down finally....Phew!
