Cedar Waxwing
We made our first visit since the spring to the Fort River refuge today; we started at mid-morning and it's high summer, so we didn't have high expectations. But it turned out quite nicely, with a fair number of birds. The cedar waxwing was high and stuck around only briefly on his search for berries, so I was glad to get anything at all. The Carolina wren in the extra stayed for a while, but distant and in full sun--here he's showing off his tail :)
