Rainy day blues

Busy day today, lots done.........as we are having visitors this coming weekend.

After walking into town for one or two things we needed for dinner tonight, and the compulsory coffee stop, we headed home for lunch.....which was ham and cucumber sandwiches.

Id left the washing machine on whilst out, after stripping two of the beds earlier.....so the dryer was working overtime as it wasnt really great drying weather :-/ a second lot followed...thankfully its all dry now!

We spent an hour or so in the garden, cut back a large overhanging upright branch, well more like a trunk really, off a huge fir tree behind our garden.....it seems to be inbetween where three fences meet.....anyway its gone now :-)

Ive tidied up the borders, but back the nepeta, the viburnam and o e or two others, looks neater now. Watered the baskets and tubs.....have lost a big clump off one of the begonias from by our front door :-( and two fuschias in one of the window boxes under the kitchen k osmething has got in there and eaten the roots!!

I picked some runner beans for dinner, to go with our steak, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes......it was delicious!!

I didnt think about my blip until late this evening so had to use flash, but I quite like the way the blue stands out against the dark background.
