Day 5: For some reason it seemed like a great idea to get up at 0415 in order to head up past Ayr and Glasgow before rush hour. In reality and through a mis-estimate of the actual length of the journey this resulted in us arriving at the breakfast cafe 1.5 hours before opening time; Fort William before the shops were open and, despite daundering en-route, Salen Hotel miles before lunch service. Anyway, a happy ending to the day falling asleep in the sun on a bench by the shores of the loch with this view and a well chilled glass of white.
