Stone wall
I managed a trip out with the dog this afternoon. Went off to the woods with a spring in my step, camera around my neck, dog at full tilt.
Abrupt about turn when I realised I'd left the memory card in the laptop...
Second attempt went better.
This is the detail of an iron (at a guess) strap on the corner of a stone wall with a difference. It looks like it's been holding things together nicely for a while.
Not uncommon in this part of the world, I've seen walls like this before and we had an 18thC house way up above Halifax which had a roof 'tiled' with great slabs of stone like these.
I love this sort of thing, practical quirky local tradition using materials to hand.
