More blues
The second generation of Common Blue butterflies seems to have been particularly prolific this year. I popped out for an hour to survey a former arable field, now occupied by tall grassland and Great Willowherb, and found several males fighting over territory. This one was taking some time out, resting on the flower-head of Cock's-foot grass.
