The Ruhr from the Ruhr

My usual view of the river is from the safety of the bank, but today was different, today was a lesson in dragonboating...
We finished four hours or so ago and I'm still not warmed through, I'm glad I thought to take a change of clothes, because although no-one fell in (minor miracle) it's amazing how much splash back there is when everyone is equally incompetant!
The real regatta is October 13, we're praying it doesn't rain.
