Avoch, Britains best village ?

We'll have to wait till October to see if Avoch succeeds in being Britains best village. It certainly looked beautiful today when David and myself went for a short walk while Mike had his haircut. We did nt spot the Channel four  TV crew that were filming the Avoch rowing club with their Skiffs, or filming a young lad playing the pipes. He's very talented and  I remember when he was in the playgroup, at just 3 years old, he had a keen interest and his favourite band was the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. The crew were also filming out on the Firth, wonder if they managed to see any dolphins. The stupid Surf kiters were back , right where the dolphins feed and on an incoming tide, not good.I'm not against people having fun but NOT there, there's plenty of other places to go.
We bought some lunch and sat in the Community Garden in the sunshine, lovely. More butterflies around now and they were loving all the plants.
Later we went to B&Q to return some of the flooring as we had one pack to many. Mike's finished laying it and we're really pleased. We bought two radiator covers and I bought 3 geraniums with plenty of buds for £1 each.
