Sky on fire!

On my way home from Glasgow this evening I had to stop on the Stockiemuir to capture the amazing sunset.

On the same stretch of road I was overtaken by two fire engines with blue lights flashing, and I wanted to shout, "It's okay, it's only the sky that's on fire!"

A little further on, however, when I caught up with them and another four appliances and ambulances at Finnich Toll, I realised that they'd been called to an 'incident' at the nearby Devil's Pulpit.

It was starting to get dark, so I hope the emergency services were able to carry out their rescue safely and with a happy ending...
