Rose in Shadow

An afternoon walk in blazing sunshine from Lighthouse Corner down to Barns of Ayre, then along to the cliffs north of the Point of Ayre, and back along to Newark Bay, along the cliffs over Taracliff Bay to Dingieshowe and the bus back. A few bonxies, a dark morph arctic skua flew very low over and was too quick to photo so I just enjoyed the view. On the fields in from Newark Bay large flocks of greylag, lapwing, golden plover (c40) and curlew 200+. A few meadow brown and common blue butterflies and a moth I didn't recognize.
