A friend of mine used to say that when the montbretia flowered in her garden, she knew it was almost time for Back To School. (This is in Scotland, where school holidays start and finish earlier than in the rest of the UK). The montbretia has been flowering for a while and is the brightest flower in our garden just now, but it is another 10 days until the schools reopen.

Today, however, is Exam Results Day. All the best to those who have tried their best :-)
