Physalis alkekengi - Chinese Lantern plant

Spent much of the day removing long stems form a shrub in the garden on which Janet had identified a fungal infection. Filled the newly emptied "green bin" with shredded remnants, and it's opened up the pond to more sunlight, which is either good or very bad...

It also gave a bit more light to this Chinese Lantern plant, whose seed heads are slowly transitioning from green to orange.

Had a good video chat with Charlie and Rory, recently arrived in Delhi from Thailand. Sent me a long video piece too of a cycle rickshaw ride they took, where the rider was clearly heading the wrong way up an incredibly busy one way street! Such fun, they're having.
