On Their Own
Sunday was a day that we have been excitedly waiting for since we signed Sugar up for camp back in March.
Along with a friend, we drove to camp. It was a LONG drive....and a hot day. The girls were a mix of excited and nervous. Oh my goodness.....hard to believe it is finally here....and now I'm not so sure I'm ready. Okay...okay....I'm ready, but it is really hard for this mama. I'm used to being away from Sugar....but not like this. When she is at camp.......there is ZERO contact. So for the next 6 days....I won't get to even hear her voice. NOTHING.
As we drove away from them....we busied ourselves with talk of anything and everything trying to avoid talking about missing our girls. It was another long drive, and I got home past 10pm. The weekend was over....and I had to try to get some sleep for the work week, but I just couldn't stop thinking about my Sugar. I hope she has a wonderful week, and I really can't wait to hear all about it. She is such a grown up young lady, and can handle herself nicely. I'm proud of her every single day. This experience will only serve to strengthen her character, and grow her soul.
