I spent a few hours at the airport today watching the aircraft coming and going.  At about 17:40 the airport maintenance guys pulled up with a load of machines and closed the main runway.  We were all a bit puzzled as we had heard that this British Aerospace 146-100 aircraft, operated by the Royal Air Force, was coming in for an overnight stop.  So after it flew round in circles and loops a few times it came into land on the secondary runway.
