Rain Stopped Play
The remnants of yesterday's typhoon upset the first day of play in this year's High School Baseball Summer Tournament today. The tournament was supposed to commence yesterday but was cancelled due to the typhoon. I went to see Saibi play Toshiki this afternoon but the game was interrupted after the fourth inning because of a torrential downpour. I was already pretty well soaked already having sent through several showers during the game up to this point, but it was worth it. This was an incredibly exciting game. Both teams played incredibly well. In fact, although Saibi beat Toshiki by ten points to four, Toshiki scored thirteen hits to Saibi's ten, so Saibi were just more successful at making their hits count for more.
Nice to hear this classic theme from a lousy film getting a regular airing by many high school baseball support bands.
Looking forward to enjoying more baseball over the next few days and using my newer, better quality camera to capture more distance shots like this.
