From cream to pink

I blipped this hydrangea early, before the rain came and before the family came. When the flowers first appeared they were creamy white and have already featured in my journal. As the summer has progressed they have become increasingly colourful.

The family decided they needed a "Granny roast" and I was delighted to oblige! We don't see them often enough, they are just a bit too far away. The roast turned out well, except the Yorkshire puddings didn't puff up as well as usual. Perhaps they objected to being served with roast pork instead of roast beef!

Steady rain now, and we really need it - we haven't had an appreciable rainfall since the beginning of the month.
