Marshside

A day off today, but too many jobs to do to make a whole day of the birdwatching. We did head over to RSPB Marshside for an hour or so, but it was a bit disappointing really. Not too much around at the moment - need to wait a bit longer for the waders to appear I think.
However, I did see a swallow(I think) head under the eaves of the hide and went to investigate. 4 little mouths to feed were poking out expectantly from a mud nest, but they were a bit shy!  Was lovely to see though :))

Back to work tomorrow after what has been a lovely long weekend.
