Mono Monday 185 - Old

This wooden platter, inlaid with mother-of-pearl was brought back from Egypt by my father in the late 1930's.  He was in the army and stationed there before the start of the Second World War.  It is older than me, and therefore very, very old.  If you look closely you can see it has got a bit battered over the years.  I think it qualifies for today's MM theme of Old, set by TheAphid who is hosting this month.
I prefer this as a subject instead of T's suggestion when asked what I could photograph that is old.  He said I could look in the mirror, so I am not speaking to him now.  Although I must admit I walked right into that one. :-)))
