In Brief, for once...

By JaxI

M and her friend "help" out at the school's girls volleyball team's car wash fundraiser.

I'm quite enjoying my new found freedom not to go near the school, after I promised M I would not allow myself to be persuaded to be chief mug again this year. It is admittedly hard to hand over your baby of 3 years (well 2 and a festival) to the next team when you put so much of your heart and time into it, but I have to say, our new Principal seems to be doing a great job so far of injecting a new lease of life into the place, and the new PTA team seem to be making all the right moves for a successful year too, so it should be easier to try and step back.

This is all very ironic really, considering it was a job I never wanted in the first place, and actually hated for most of the time since they asked me repeatedly to do it (not the events, just the politics), but when you spend so long wishing someone else would step up, it's a bit weird when they actually do, and I'll have to get used to doing other stuff with my time and shutting my mouth and leaving it up to the new leaders.
I know I said this last year, but I have feeling this year's PTA lot might actually stay the course and not need my input .
On to new and better things! Famous last words!
