Busy as a bee

As with any holiday a few chores needed to be sorted on our return.

In our absence an errant pigeon decided to descend our chimney and exited in our bedroom. Son Thomas found it a day or so into its occupation! It had broken a window pane in its attempts to escape and another as attempts were made to evict it. At least the mess had been cleaned up before we returned but replacing two panes of glass now on the agenda. Fortunately they are small being Georgian sash windows.

This has done nothing to change my opinion about pigeons!

The bees were busy today despite the Lavender being past its best.
