Origin of Symmetry
We traveled back from Devon today, via Southmead hospital in Bristol where Gill's mum has been treated. A charmed journey, no holdups, we even drove past Cribbs Causeway without a hitch and there was plenty of parking space at the hospital. Gill's mum is looking a lot better too, although she will be staying for a few days yet until she is walking safely and has a physio program in place.
Quite a different experience to what we expected in the hospital too ... it is a new building but what a great light airy space! Being a Sunday there were very few people in the outpatient areas so I was able to get a few mobile phone images as we walked along. Rachel did some of her medical training there and says it does not look as she remembered it!
No idea why the wards are called gates ... although seen as a whole one would probably think airport first.
There is a piano in the atrium played this afternoon by one of the volunteers and it was striking how the sound traveled through the space and everyone who walked by was smiling.
The main image is one of the internal walls, in the extra, looking toward the car park exit!
A soon as we have some of the unpacking done, I'll reply to your recent comments :-)
