The lost city .....

Another day of heavy showers so no harvest again.
A heifer calved after lunch then had to bring in another one tonight and calve her . She doesn't seem very interested in her new baby, but will see what happens in the morning.
Took a run up the top hill to check on the heifers I carted up yesterday. This is usually a good view of Edinburgh , the castle and Arthur's Seat , but today the storm clouds obscured everything . Not long after I took this photo the rain, thunder and lightning veered over where my winter barley fields are and headed off down the East coast .
