One person, one sun, two shadows
I have never before witnessed this phenomenon. As I walked along a road above North Barriere Lake, British Columbia I saw two shadows of myself projected on the roadside trees. It was quite striking and easy to see as I moved along. In the photo it is not so obvious. There is a shadow of myself in the lower middle of the photo. Above it my two legs are the most easily identifiable parts of the second shadow.
I took this photo minutes after sunrise. The lower shadow was caused by the direct rays of the sun. The shadow above it was the result of sunshine reflecting off the surface of the lake. The road I was walking on was fifteen or twenty feet above the lake.
