A Sky Moment

After spending a long and wide day at the Riverside County Office of Education in Murrieta in a workshop with teachers of secondary education, coming home was delightful and this sunset moment was breath-taking.

Four of us from the English Dept at the community college where I teach have been participating in this 4-day workshop that is presented by the California State University system. The CSUs are desiring to assist high school teachers in preparing their students to graduate with the qualifications that allow students to enter freshman composition and not spend their first semester or two in remedial writing, reading, and math classes. This is a huge undertaking, but I think these English teachers are being given some quality training. In two weeks we go back for our last and fourth day of the workshop.
