Spent a lot of the day on the phone to Cheshire. Dad got up in the night, c 2.30am, and fell, banging his head. Although he said he was OK, the home's night staff called an ambulance and he was taken to Leighton hospital as a precaution, and was admitted. I was told he was "not too bad, quite alert and aware", and they are keeping him in hospital for 48 hours' observation as he has had a "small bleed on the brain", which, as he is on blood-thinning medications, needs monitoring.
