Breakfast with A in Nonna's....sitting next to Greg Rutherford the longjumper who's not at world championships at the moment as he's injured (later delighted to see Mo Farah win gold again!)
Packed up then headed north - mammoth awful journey that took >7 hours without a break, and just arrived in time to dash to the festival opening. Good to be able to watch several times at different points in the square to notice each section and soak it up.
Home, chatted to C&T, then bed. Phew!
