Silver-washed fritillary

What a year it's been for Silver-washed fritillaries. I walked two of the regular butterfly transects at the nature reserve today and they were flying in almost all of the woodland sections despite the largely dull conditions. Some are looking rather worn now, but this one was still in good condition.
