Holy Smoke!!! Bee only went and won
I've had a fabulous day. It started with Zumba and an absolutely nutty teacher that enthused and laughed her way through the session encouraging 20 over 60s to find their funk and diva, hilarious. I left there totally uplifted.
Next stop Alex the osteopath who sorted my aching shoulders and back out.
Then to Bee's. She invited me to go to the opening of the Manchester cathedral photography exhibition and the announcing of the winner of their competition. We had afternoon tea first enjoying sandwiches and scones but the cakes had to come home in a doggy bag we were too full. A walk round the city and a sit down people watching on the wall outside Selfridges getting some good shots then the main event. I always thought Bee Beewriter had a chance at winning the competition and she did with her photo titled Holy smoke. She was surprised when her name was called to go up and be interviewed by Mike Shaft the BBC Radio Manchester DJ on Sunday morning 6-9am!!
Bee is now the official Manchester cathedral photographer for the next year. Well done Bee and well deserved for your great shot on the roof of the cathedral with the Beekeeper. It was great to meet another blipper Chris F who had 2 fabulous photos shortlisted.
Had a cheeky little celebratory prosecco with Bee then drove home, a late night for me, but well worth it.
